Birrpai: Beyond the lens of Thomas Dick outlines the history of invasion of Port Macquarie NSW and its subsequent impact on Birrpai peoples by providing a glimpse into the lives of the Birrpai families who collaborated from 1910 to 1920 with a white photographer to produce a remarkable ethnographic work highlighting aspects of their pre-invasion lifestyle.
